Green Point Stroll Through Strata - Gros Morne National Park, Parks Canada

Meet a Parks Canada guide and stroll through a world renowned sequence of layered rocks and hidden fossils. Almost 500 million years ago these rocks formed the bottom of an ancient ocean. Here geologists discovered fossils that define the boundary between the Cambrian and Ordovician periods. This makes Green Point a world geological benchmark. Best viewed at low tide.
