Shallow Bay Beach - Gros Morne National Park, Parks Canada

Soft, pale sand for 5 km makes this the perfect beach day. The main beach is protected from waves by low rocky islands, and the shallow water warms up to swimming temperature in the summer. Build a sandcastle, fly a kite, or just explore the coastline. Day-use area provides parking, washrooms, and picnic tables. The area attracts shorebirds, especially in the fall, when there can be hundreds of migrating shorebirds clustered on the upper beach at high tide.
