Goowiddy Path - Parks Canada Terra Nova National Park
Glovertown
“Goowiddy” is a Newfoundland term for the low shrubs commonly seen on this trail. Stroll through a mature balsam fir forest that snakes along the coastline of Newman Sound. Keep right at the junction and discover a sandy beach with a small barachois. Continue on into the forest again, winding your way along the forest floor until you break out in a grassy meadow with an oceanfront view – Buckleys Cove. Catch your breath in the red chairs or plan to stay the night at this backcountry site.
