Gros Morne Mountain Trail - Gros Morne National Park, Parks Canada

17km strenuous hike climbing 806m to the summit of Gros Morne Mountain (9km-return Approach, 8km Summit loop). 4.5km through boreal forest to the base. 8km Summit loop climbs a steep, rocky gully to an exposed arctic-alpine plateau. Here your effort is rewarded with stunning views of Ten Mile Pond and the Long Range Mountains. The Summit loop requires preparation, check with staff at the Visitor Centre. The Gros Morne Summit trail is closed beginning on May 1 and re-opens June 28 annually.
