Citadel Trail - Signal Hill National Historic Site, Parks Canada

On this trail, skirt along the edge of a drop to the Narrows and enjoy breathtaking views of St. John's Harbour. This trail links the Visitor Centre to the summit of Signal Hill. Here, hikers can visit Cabot Tower, or link to the North Head or Ladies' Lookout trails. Along the trail, you will pass the Queen's Battery and barracks which were the keystone of the Harbour defenses during the 19th century. Level of difficulty: Moderate, Distance: 500 m one way, Time: 10 mins.
