Turpin's Hiking Trail

Explore the Coastal barrens of Fogo Island along Turpin’s Trail in the charming community of Tilting. Newfoundland’s first registered Heritage District. This is a great 7.2-km day hike with mellow elevation changes. Hiking boots are recommended as the path tread varies. Bring a lunch and extra baggie for berry picking. Keep your eyes peeled for local caribou. This loop style trail starts and ends at the Lane House Museum, a perfect natural setting for sun bathing and swimming.
