Food Culture Place, founded by Lori McCarthy, preserves Newfoundland and Labrador’s cultural heritage through immersive, experiences/cultural residencies. Participants explore traditional skills like wild food gathering, basket weaving, and foraging, fostering a deep connection to the land, culture, and community. With a focus on sustainability and mindfulness, Food Culture Place offers more than learning—it creates meaningful experiences that bridge cultural gaps and strengthen communities.
