Skipper Joe's Souvenirs is named after the owner's grandfather, Joe Tucker, who once operated a general store & restaurant in the 1950's in the same building. After Joe closed his store/restaurant, the building was lowered to one level, Joe Tucker & family would use this building as a "fishing stage" to catch and clean their fish. In 2018, Joe's grandson was proud to preserve the heritage of this old building by reconstructing it into a rustic gift shop called Skipper Joe's Souvenirs.
