At the heartbeat of our culture is the Cod - there is no stronger symbolism and affection! Unveiled on July 5, 2024, the Cod monument pays tribute to the quintessential fish and honours the ancestors who followed the Cod to these rugged shores for centuries. This symbolic monument is a dedication to the Cod, itself; and the need to be strong stewards of this fish, which once fed the world, so it can rebuild and thrive. Cod also teaches us about celebrating our fish and our fish-proud culture.
