The monument, titled "Rockaway 11" by the artist, Sandra Priest, commemorates all fallen Canadian firefighters and first responders. A piece of concrete from the slurry wall that formed the base of the World Trade Centre in New York sits atop a piece of granite from a nearby quarry, This is the only such piece outside the United States. Unveiled on September 8, 2024.
