Rose Blanche Lighthouse Trail
Rose Blanche
A 2-km easy walking, circular, gravel trail that offers spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and scenic Rose Blanche harbour. Midway around the trail is the only restored granite lighthouse in Atlantic Canada that was originally built 1871 -1873 from the nearby quarry. The trail has storyboards of marine disasters, lookouts, chairs and granite benches where one can enjoy the views and relax to the ceaseless sounds of the ocean. A “picnic on the rocks” by the ocean is an appealing option.
