In this 1-day workshop learn the history, stories, and traditional techniques with local Eileen Murphy to construct your own woven textile pillow top. For many years the woods camps of NL employed hundreds of loggers. These men would be away for months. Many lonesome loggers used Sunday, their sole day off, to weave a woolen square to gift their loved ones on their return home. Discover the historical connections to this traditional weaving, and the loggers as craft makers and designer.

This is a 1-day workshop designed for adults who are novice weavers as well as those who are frequent weaving enthusiasts. All materials are provided to create your own pillow top.
