Win One of Four Week-Long Trips for Two

16 Apr 2015

Shakespeare once wrote, “What’s in a name?” Sometimes, not a lot. And other times, more than you could possibly imagine.

Inspired by the pristine landscape, food, homelands of early settlers, and even body parts, the names of our places have one thing in common – you’ll never hear them anywhere else in the world.

Starting April 16, 2015, you can have the chance to win a week-long trip for two to Newfoundland & Labrador. All you have to do is determine, 'What's in a Name?'

To enter, visit OffKilterPlaces.ca and play our pict-o-puzzle game. Simply match pictures with place names, and each correct answer earns an entry into the weekly contest.

Each week for the next four weeks you have three chances to win. And each week offers an amazingly unique prize package that reflects our unique place name themes: love, food, people, and off-kilter.

Fall in love at Point Amour Lighthouse and get a partridgeberry pedicure at the Battle Harbour Wash House Spa. Wet your appetite with a culinary tour through St. John’s, Fogo Island, and Bonavista. Shake hands and rub shoulders with colourful characters from St. John’s to Twillingate. Or, Go off the beaten path while walking the mantle of the Earth, stand where the Vikings once stood, and rest your head in a restored 1920s lighthouse.
