The Rooms Book Club is an opportunity for people who love to read to connect with Newfoundlander's and Labradorian's who love to write.

Join us for an intimate look at playwright/author Robert Chafe's collection of short fiction, Two Man Tent, and a complimentary drink from the bar.

Chafe's stories are linked by a recurring tale of a long-distance relationship told in the form of text messages, chat sessions, and emails. The results are an absorbing collection that reads like no other.

Rug hooking is a traditional textile craft, primarily practiced by women. The patterns were only limited to the imagination, then created with loops of color using retired clothing. The designs may have been different depending on which region of the province it was created in and traditional designs ranged from simple geometric patterns to ornate works that would only be displayed in the home's parlour or removed from storage when important guests arrived. Come - explore your creativity!
