Green Point Stroll Through Strata - Parks Canada Gros Morne National Park
Guide stroll with Parks Canada Staff through a world renowned sequence of layered rocks and hidden fossils. Almost 500 million years ago theses rocks formed on the bottom of an ancient ocean. Here geologists discovered fossils that define the boundary between the Cambrian and Ordovician periods and makes Green Point a world geological benchmark. Best viewed at low tide.

Lighthouse by Night
A place has many stories. Perched on the edge, often battered by wind and waves, you just know this century old lighthouse has stories to share. Step into our parlour & join us for an intimate and interactive evening of storytelling and music. Sit and relax in the very rooms the lightkeeper did as he kept a constant vigil over the waters of Bonne Bay. Let the soft light of the lanterns transport you back in time and the soothing aroma of freshly baked treats in our kitchen awaken your senses.

Living life on the coast was hard, but rewarding. Get a taste of what daily life was like for the women and men who relied on the inshore fishery to survive. Tending gardens, drying fish, hanging laundry to dry – these are some of the “yaffle” of chores you can try firsthand at the Broom Point Fishing Premises.
