Natures Hospitality

Step outside your tent in the morning glow. The coolness of the grass envelopes your toes. Sitting on the edge overlooking the ocean, whales breach in the rolling Atlantic. You’re away from it all, and yet you’ve never been closer to yourself.

Camping is one of the easiest ways to get back in touch with nature. Have a campfire along our impressive coastlines, sleep deep into our vast forests, play on our beaches, and explore our cities and communities. We offer a wide range of camping and outdoor experiences depending on your mood – travel as far into the untouched natural landscape or stay as close to modern services as you like.

Our parks and campsites are as beautiful, diverse, and full of adventure as our most isolated wilderness. You have your choice of locations, as these places are in every area of our province – within the city of St. John’s or far civilization in wilds of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Our province has 14 provincial parks, three national parks and a multiple of private parks for you to discover. Every park carries its own special story: Gros Morne National Park, for instance, was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its rare geology and awe-inspiring scenery. Here, learn about the ancient ocean and the collision of a continent over breakfast, explore the coast’s 4,500-year history of human population in the afternoon, and set up camp in arctic-alpine barrens populated by woodland caribou and arctic hare.

Spend a day hiking, discovering scenic attractions, and enjoying nature. Then, make friends from around the world as you gather around the campfire. Here, bright lights won’t obscure the constellations. Enjoy the scenery, be refreshed by our cool breezes, and spend a few nights surrounded by nature’s hospitality under the stars.

Reserve your campground before you arrive. For reservation information, click here to find all parks and campgrounds. For convenience, you can book Provincial Parks and some National Parks online.
